Yes! For deliveries, our drivers give your Christmas tree a fresh cut outside your home or business when it arrives.
Our drivers carry a chainsaw and remove a thin section from the bottom of the trunk. This exposes fresh wood at the base and helps the tree absorb water once it is placed in its stand.
What if I won't be home for my Christmas tree delivery?
If you will not be home, please leave a sturdy bucket filled with water outside your front door.
Our driver can place the freshly cut trunk into the bucket so the base stays in water until you return.
Once you're home, move the tree into its stand and make sure the base remains submerged.
What if the fresh-cut trunk was left out of water?
If the freshly cut base is left exposed to air for too long, it can begin to dry out. As the sap at the cut surface hardens, it can partially seal the base and make it harder for the tree to absorb water.
If you weren't able to get the tree into water promptly and you have access to a saw, we recommend giving the trunk another fresh, straight cut before placing it in your stand.
